Lessons
One lesson for your next rack
Choose a situation you recognize from your own game. Try the idea at the table and write down what actually happened.
01
How to reset after a bad miss
Say you missed the 8. In the chair, put what happened into one sentence. “I picked the shot, then changed the speed.” When you get back to the table, walk around it and pick a landing zone. You’ve given yourself a new job. Look for How to Reset After a Bad Miss in Pool on the YouTube channel.
02
Pause before the shot
Pause a game of 9-ball just before the player shoots. Which side of the next ball would you want to land on? Play the clip and see what changed once the cue ball stopped. Even a pocketed ball can leave a layout that calls for a different plan.
03
9-Ball Ghost Challenge
When you watch a Ghost challenge, pick a rack and follow just the cue ball. If the run ends early, rewind one shot. Did it go wrong on the miss, or a shot earlier when the cue ball landed on the wrong side?

A question to take to practice
Before you get down, call where the cue ball should finish. After the shot, compare the finish with your prediction. For a way to score it, start with the first Practice Lab drill.
